Company History
The company was founded in 1962 under the name

DuPage Key and Lock Service, Inc.
The president of the company, Edwin Wolter, initially operated the business part-time from his Lombard, IL. residence. Mr. Wolter's goal was to provide the local community with basic locksmith services. In its infancy, DuPage Key and Lock Service, Inc. had the ability to open locked cars, change lock cylinders, install deadbolts, fit keys to automobiles and, of course, make duplicate keys. As business demands grew, Mr. Wolter envisioned an expansion of his company to include more technical and detailed security services. His wife and son-in-law joined the company, and together relocated the business to a large storefront and shop in Addison, IL. His daughter joined the team shortly thereafter, and together they were responsible for all aspects of company operations on a full-time basis. They added service technicians to meet the increasing pattern of company growth, and eventually relocated to a more spacious location in Addison where the company continues to reside today.
In November of 2000, James Kubin, C.M.L., the son-in-law of Mr. Wolter, purchased DuPage Key and Lock Service, Inc. His vision was to take the company to a higher level of technology by keeping of, and instituting the latest advances in locks and security products. The team assembled by Mr. Kubin is committed to providing the best security products the marketplace has to offer its customers. In order to aggressively approach a community searching for modern security solutions, and to accurately convey the message that DuPage Key and Lock Service, Inc. provides much more than keys and locks, Mr. Kubin renamed the business. It is now known as

DuPage Security Solutions, Inc.
